Barde vanVoltt was asked to design a high-end coffee experience centered on the product. Visitors can purchase premium coffee beans, book private tasting sessions, or enjoy takeaway coffee with personalized service from world-class baristas. With its focus on education and expertise, DAK leads the global trend of coffee tasting rooms.

The space includes two workstations and a secluded tasting room. The tasting room’s coffee-stained wood interior evokes the sensation of being inside a coffee cup, offering a fully immersive experience.

Sustainability is key, highlighted by a collaboration with Marijke Jans, a biobased material developer. Jans created bespoke elements like a burned wooden tray and objects made from spent coffee grounds, blending sustainability with artistry.

The design features soft clay walls, hammered stainless steel, and a chrome tunnel leading to the tasting room.

DAK Coffee Roasters invites coffee enthusiasts to explore, learn, and savor the art of coffee in an innovative and inspiring setting.
