Amsterdam’s premier sneaker retailer needed a new space to do business. The owner of Sneaker District wanted his executive suite to feel fresh and futuristic—much like his retail ambitions. Breaking away from the typical executive office, we focused on creating a thought-provoking space that feels a world away from the corporate look.

“Identifying what’s next in your business takes every ounce of creative energy. We wanted this space to have a power to it, a fearlessness. If everything looks ordinary around you, how can you find that edge you’re searching for?”
The workspace is a force to be reckoned with. With Altrock Surfaces and Stalen Gasten, we created a recycled marble desk on perforated steel legs. This piece is inspired by the mesh across the toe of a sneaker and connects to the interior of Sneaker District’s Amsterdam store. The recycled marble top is elegant, yet unexpected with shards of glossy white marble set in a matte black base. We balanced this statement with oak drawers to file away the day.
Behind the workspace is floor-to-ceiling stainless steel. This futuristic finish reflects natural light across the suite and is also the secret door to the CEO’s private gym. Just push the button and make your way in to run off old ideas.
In such an open space, sightlines were important to us. Drawing the eye to the center of the room is the low-profile Camaleonda sofa by B&B Italia. A world-renowned sofa in indigo velvet loved for its versatility. Each piece can be moved into new configurations making it a great solution to shake up brainstorm sessions.
With such deep colors and bold backdrops, we found balance by integrating creamy, sandy tones. We used oak floorboards, a hand-woven Kanon Rug by Kvadrat Textiles, and a raw marble coffee table by Denmark’s Ferm Living to inject lightness and warmth. Sleek and powerful, yet approachable, this futuristic take on the executive suite packs some real creative energy. Just what every CEO needs to take their ambitions to the next level.
